June 20, 2014 - Oh what a fun day! And not just a fun day for Rebecca + Steve but for our team as well. We always love working with couples who are super easy to get along with, and don't take themselves too seriously, but also know how to keep things classy when they need to. That was Rebecca + Steve, a great balance, both individually and as a couple.
We met up with both of them at the St. Regis
in Monarch Beach. Not a bad venue to spend the morning getting ready at, eh? Well, Rebecca had a nice big room for herself and the ladies. Steve on the other hand had the spacious Men's restroom on the lower floor of the lobby. Quite honestly, this bathroom was nicer than most hotel rooms we've seen, so Steve definitely didn't get the short end of the stick. Ha. Plus, he got to get in some poker up on the veranda with his groomsmen, so we're pretty sure there were no complaints from him.
From the St. Regis it was time to head south to Talega Golf Club
where the rest of the festivities for the day would happen. I am sure you have heard us say this before, and we will continue to say it again, but we truly love Talega. It's a beautiful venue, with a staff that needs to be recognized for their "above and beyond" attitudes. It's always a treat for us to get to shoot there. There are so many little characteristics to this place. And no matter how many times we have shot there, we seem to find new praises to sing every time. The day and setting were perfect for Steve + Rebecca. They had a beautiful afternoon ceremony followed by an enchanting evening reception. Gini Garner
and her team of specialists brought the reception room to life as they do best. Hats off to Gini!
We were fortunate enough to be shooting alongside Jim and Amber again from Jim Kennedy Photographers
. Jim is the best in the business if we had any say in it, and has become a close friend to the EA Family over the years, and we really value his work ethic and style. He's the consummate professional. And of course what wedding wouldn't be perfect without the help of Maestro Tim Espinosa
to provide the entertainment and music for the ceremony and reception. The guy is a show stopper, that's for sure. And a huge thank you to Michael Voorhees from Talega
and his incredible staff. We have a tremendous amount of respect for the great lengths that Michael goes to for his couples and his vendors. It's remarkable.
Many thanks again to Steve + Rebecca for being so fun and loving. It was pretty obvious the love and respect that they have for one another is solid, and we truly appreciate them allowing us to do our part in capturing this awesome day for them.
